I don't even believe what I'm writing but I'm about to share my skincare routine lol! I mean, from my previous post, you all know that I don't have the porcelain-like skin, I am full of imperfections but I am better now, I mean my skin condition!
Here's an overview of products that I use:

1. Avène Cleanance Cleansing gel- it's the almost empty bottle! It's the product that helped to subside the redness of my face, mainly because of its mildness. It contains Avène signature ingredient— Thermal Spring Water. It's blue-ish green liquid in colour, and feels really light on the skin. Correct me if I'm wrong, but read articles before that said not to use foamy facial cleansers when you're dealing with acne/blemishes. So, this product really suits sensitive/acne/blemish-prone skin type! SRP: S$29.90 for 200ml (comes with a small Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water)
2. Neutrogena Alcohol-free Toner- this is probably my go-to toner, been a fan for almost 4 years! I'm usually afraid to try out other toners because of possible skin irritation. This one is really really mild too! No stinging, no irritation. It definitely helps to further cleanse my face even after washing (Sometimes, I still get some foundation residue even after using make-up remover, and washing my face), I'm assured that my face is extra cleaner after using this toner. SRP: S$11.50++
3. Avène Eau Thermale, Thermal Spring Water- I'm gonna be frank, I don't know what's the effect of this on my face but based on its description, "... effective at relieving skin conditions..." its sales promoter also told me that it helps to reduce skin irritation and redness. It can be used as per normal, water spray, or you can use it as D-I-Y mask: purchase a dehydrated facial mask (Avène sells this), put the dry mask on your face, then spray thermal water on your face 'til the mask starts to dampen, leave on face for 15-20 minutes. Tried it! Helped to reduce my skin irritation and also kept it much more hydrated! Not a fan, but it is worth trying.
4. Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion- I saw my mom using it, so I used it too! (thanks mom!) I'm also not sure about its function but here's the product description, "..a sulfur-based product designed to treat cystic acne. This lotion has a deeply penetrating, fast absorbing formula which reduces cystic acne fast and help prevent further breakouts" (Sephora). I'm trying my best to prove its worth to you guys because for a small 29ml bottle, it's S$35!!!!!!! BUT!!! I feel that Mario Badescu has a more specific Acne lotion that might be a better option if you are trying to fight off acne. I can't wait to try it's acne treatment range because so far, this brand has been amazing (just a little costly!)
5. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater- To be honest, I don't really understand the effects of facial sprays but I'm a sucker for it. I think(???) it helps my skin become more hydrated and gives me a fresher feeling. BUT!!! because I have oily skin, sometimes, this product make my skin look even oilier? which is why I try not to spray it on daytime, and only use it on night time. It is a good prep for skin if you are gonna do a full face make-up, some reviews also said that they even use it help their make-up look fresher! SRP: S$15
6. The Face Shop 99% Jeju Aloe (vera gel)- remember when I told you that I don't use moisturisers? (pls read my previous post!!!) This is what I use to compensate for that. As most of us know, Aloe Vera is a really good healing plant especially for acne-prone skin, and literally any other skin conditions!!! and I was absolutely stoked to use this because there are times when my nose area gets really dry and irritated, this is my go-to treatment! I also use this to treat my wind burns, and sometimes my chapped lips! Really a God-sent remedy.
7. Nixoderm Ointment- oh man, this isn't really a product made for face but it knows its worth. It's a jack of all trades product that also treats itching, rashes, ringworm of the skin and scalp! That just shows how versatile this product can be. REALLY really effective to use when you have that big day tomorrow and needs a go-to pimple ointment the night before. However, it can be a little bit strong...,,, story time: I do get some breakout on my clavicle/chest area, so I shot my chance and applied this ointment on that area. I always wear a silver necklace (and don't take it out even when sleeping) and the next morning, I observed that some of parts of my necklace reacted to the ointment, tarnishing it. Moral of the story: product can be mildly corrosive, make sure to use it smartly. Overall, a really good product to try, and costs only S$3++ for the small size that can last for almost a year!
That wraps up my skincare routine. I also try to use hydrating/moisturising masks from Innisfree/Dr. Morita (a Taiwan brand) just to keep my skin refreshed, at least twice a week.
How about you? What's your go-to skincare product?
